Condolence: To Christine and the Masiero Family,

I know you don't know me but words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. Matt and I met while attending school at Indiana State University. He was an extraordinary person both inside and out. We came from different backgrounds but was so alike in many ways. Matt always had this free-spirited, carrying attitude and for that I will always be grateful that I was able to be a part of his life and also he made a great impact on my life.

Your family will continue to be in my prayers and thoughts and I hope you will find comfort in knowing God will get you through this trying time.

In Christian love,
Nicole Stone (Jeffersonville, IN)

Condolence: To the Masiero Family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Matt was my coach and I grew to love him very much. Although it heart breaking to know that he is no longer here with us, I find comfort because I know God is taking care of him and he is no longer in pain.
Always in my prayers

Condolence: Dear Masiero Family,
I am saddened by the news of Matt's death. I had the pleasure of working with Matt at the Woodrow Wilson School in Dorchester. As an elected union representative at that school, I feel I can speak for the faculty there. We loved him dearly and appreciated his efforts to improve the lives of the children he taught. His charming personality brightened our days at the Wilson School. You, as family members should be proud of him. He was a wonderful person and teacher.

My sincere sympathy,
Mary F. Glynn

Condolence: To the Masiero Family,
I am a BPS teacher who never me your son but read of his passing today.
Having read people's tributes to him I found this fitting.

I had a lot to do.
More than some of you
But, yet, you wonder why I rest.
I finished early

I started on time.
Even though the choice was mine; And I put in a full days work, but
I finished early

I though at first the road was long,
But, I just asked the Lord to keep me strong,
And, step by step, I ran the race;
I finished early

I'm not a quitter my friend.
I kept on fighting until the end;
And the only thing I can say is,
I finished early

By the measure of man's mind
And not my God's own time,
Do some of you look at the years,
I finished early

But with God it counts not at all
How long, how brief, how great, how small
he looks for a ready heart.
Even if you finish early.

Condolence: I am so sorry at the passing of Matt, a man of incredible courage, spirit, humor and vitality. I taught with Matt, next door to him when he first got his diagnosis, and I was amazed and the grace with which he dealt with his ordeal. Matt will be missed by so many and will remain a part of all who knew him.

Condolence: Masiero family,
I was shocked to hear of Matts' passing. Matt and I attended
school together until the 7th grade. I have such vivid memories of Matt. Even as young as we were he was the man in the family, caring for his little sister and mom.
I know his great friendships with the boys from St. Joe was a gift to have lasted all of these years.
Remember Matt with a smile, not with a tear. Be strong. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
