Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Challes, and the rest of Lou's family. We're greatly saddened by the news. We first met Lou in 1999, at Eastover. We knew right away that he was something special, and bonded with him (and musical partner Stan). Over the next 12 years, the bond became greater. We looked forward to the two days out of the years that we'd get to see him. Those two days don't include the days he'd come to Eastover on days he wasn't playing, to give us tours of the area on his motorcycle. He was one of a kind, with a heart of gold.

Condolence: Where do i begin? In 1950 Peter brought home a very sweet but shy little boy to meet us. His name was Louie Lombardi. Little did we know that for the next 68
years he would be a devoted, loyal and loving part of our family.
He laughed with us, he grieved with us and made sure that whatever the occasion or event that we were all taken care of.
All of us have our outstanding memory of Louie. One that stands out in my mind was the famous ride on Hancock Road where I know for sure we were airborne for a good 8 seconds or more. The day he said :
"Molly, look what I got for you, I know you like jewelry, I got you a two carat ring". Yes indeed it was, two plastic carrots on a band of silver. Only Louie could come up with that.
Louie, thanks to his library of "How To Do It Yourself" books there wasn`t anything he couldn`t repair, rewire, replace, remove, reconnect or replenish. It got a little difficult when he started spending his winters in Florida. We would have to wait a month or two to get the auto light in the closet fixed, or buy a tool and have to wait for Lou to give us proper instructions on how to use it and he was adamant we go by the book!
I did get him to play one piece of classical music. If he was at the piano I would say "Lou, play my song" and he would play the theme from Rachmaninoff`s 2nd piano concerto. I will never hear that piece again that I
won`t think of Louie.
His kindness wit'h my Mother, bringing her gifts and spending time with her. She sometimes didn`t know him but he would just say"that`s ok, everytime I come here she makes a new friend".
We will all have a void in our lives because he is no longer with us, Peter especially who treasured his years of friendship with such a wonderful man.
Rest in Peace dear friend, how we will miss you.....................
We love you
The Fruets, Peter, Molly, Judy and Jay
