Obituary for Harriet Nettie Kubica

Harriet Nettie Kubica, 92, of 79 Belair Ave, Pittsfield, died peacefully at Springside Nursing Care Center on September 2, 2016. Born in Lanesborough, MA on January 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Robert Moore, she was educated in Lanesborough Schools.
Harriet enjoyed puzzles, sitting on her porch swing, bowling, and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an active member of the Pilgrim Memorial Church.
She is survived by her four daughters, Jean B. Kubica of Pittsfield with whom she resided, Marilyn J. Kipp of Pittsfield, Ruth R. Tierney and her husband Dennis of Clinton, S.C., and Rose A. Kubica of Pittsfield; her son, Paul Kubica and his wife Den of Northwood, Ohio; her son-in-law Michael Wheeler of Pittsfield; and daughter-in-law Jeanne of Voorheesville, NY, a sister; Doris Maynard; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Joann M. Wheeler who died October 8, 2015, her son, Joseph W. Kubica who died August 17, 2002, and her brother, Chip Moore, and her former son-in-law; Peter F. Kipp.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Harriet N. Kubica, will be held Saturday, September 10, at 9:30 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Richard E. Hayes, Chaplain with HospiceCare in The Berkshires, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Memorial Church or to HospiceCare in The Berkshires both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
