Obituary for Caroline Ackerson

CAROLINE ACKERSON, 77, of 1550 North Street, Pittsfield, died Friday, February 27, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, June 25, 1931, a daughter of Louis and Mary Bolognia, she
was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Ackerson had, at one time, been shopkeeper of
Acks Attic in Nevada. A devoted mother and grandmother, and also devoted to her brothers and sisters, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and many friends, she enjoyed playing bridge,
taking trips to Italy, and cooking.
Mrs. Ackerson is survived by three sons, Donald C. Baumert of Cheshire, Eric K.
Baumert and his wife Betty of Lenox, and Robert L. Ackerson of Pittsfield; three sisters,
Barbara Wynat of Pittsfield, Maryann Dicroce of Pittsfield, and Donna Bilodeau of
Connecticut; two brothers, Daniel Bolognia of Hinsdale and the state of Florida and
Louis Bolognia of Delray Beach, Florida; and three grandchildren, Eric J. Baumert of
Lenox, Heather A. Baumert of Tampa, and Leeane Martin of Cheshire; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Anthony Bolognia, formerly of Flagstaff,
Arizona.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for CAROLINE ACKERSON, who died Friday, February 27,
will be Saturday, March 7, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mark Church. Calling hours will be
Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
