Obituary for Zigmund A. Wojtkowski

Zigmund Anastazy Wojtkowski, 88, of Pittsfield, passed away August 13, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Pittsfield on December 14, 1933, he was a son of Frank and Anna Juchacki Wojtkowski.

He was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mr. Wojtkowski was a United States Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War.

Mr. Wojtkowski married the former Irene Zajchowski. She predeceased him on August 23, 2006.

He was an owner and operator of Dairy Center of the Berkshires on West Housatonic Street.

A member of the Polish Falcons, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, bowling, travelling, but most of all, spending time with his family.

Mr. Wojtkowski is survived by his daughters, Linda Plant and husband William of Pittsfield, Christine Dicicco and husband Marc of Dunstable, MA; sons, Anthony Wojtkowski and wife Laurie of Elgin, IL, Albert Wojtkowski and wife Sandra of Hancock, Andrew Wojtkowski and wife Pamela of Hancock, and Richard Wojtkowski and wife Michele of Richmond. Twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his partner, Nellie Jew of Pittsfield and his siblings, Wanda Wojtkowski Donahue, Thomas Wojtkowski, Edmund Wojtkowski, Theresa Wojtkowski Jordan, George Wojtkowski, Stephanie Wojtkowski Bonniver and Conrad Wojtkowski.

Per his wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Soldier On or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires and mailed to DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
