Obituary for Yvonne B. LaBeau

Mrs. Yvonne B. LeBeau, 90, of 66 Toronita Ave. in Pittsfield died Friday at Hillcrest Commons of Pittsfield where she had resided since August. Born on August 29, 1918 in Adams, MA she was the daughter of the late George and Josephine Mignault LaRose. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, she was educated in Adams schools and was a graduate of the former Adams High School. She married her husband, the late Arthur J. LeBeau in February of 1935. He died on October 27, 1986. Mrs. LeBeau was a caring homemaker for her family and had worked at one time for General Electric during World War II and at the former Coat Factory in the early 1960's. A communicant of St. Charles Church, she enjoyed playing bingo and going to Saratoga to watch the horses. She leaves a son; Dennis A. LeBeau and his wife Debra of Pittsfield. Three daughters; Carol A. Wells of Pittsfield, Sharon R. Barnes and her husband Robert of Pittsfield and Janice M. LeBeau of Pittsfield. Mrs. LeBeau also leaves eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. She also leaves her beloved dog "Buffy".

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Yvonne B. LeBeau of Pittsfield who died December 5, 2008 will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours for Mrs. LeBeau will be Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the Dery Funeral Home. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires or to the Berkshire Humane Society both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
