Obituary for Yoland H. Cancilla

Yolanda H. Cancilla,89, of 20 Flintstone Dr. in Pittsfield died at BMC on Saturday June 6, 2009. Born in Pittsfield February 28,1920 daughter of the late Angelo and Lucy Alberti Campoli. She graduated from Drury High School and then received her B.S. in Nursing from Skidmore College in Saratoga, N Y . She was in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navel Nurse. She had worked for the Pittsfield V N A prior and after wartime. She was a communicant of the former Mt. Carmel Church, she enjoyed playing bridge, antiquing and traveling with her late husband Vincent Cancilla of whom she married June 5, 1948 at Mt. Carmel Church, he died Nov. 13, 2004. She leaves her daughter Elisabeth C. Wills of Glendora, Ca. and her brother Andrew Campoli of Pittsfield. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Yolanda H. Cancilla,89, who died Saturday June 6 will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at 8:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00am at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by Rev Msg. Michael Shershanovich , pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home 54 Bradford St. 01201
