Obituary for Winston O. Roulier
Winston O. Roulier, 98, of Delancy Avenue, Pittsfield, died March 18, 2016 at Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Born in Ware, Massachusetts on January 15, 1918, the son of Oliver and Amelia Bousquet Roulier, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A draftsman by trade, he retired in 1978 from General Electric as a drafting supervisor after 44 years of service. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. Mr. Roulier had been a communicant of the former St. Mary the Morning Star Church where he was an active parishioner. He was a volunteer in the Glass House at Tanglewood for 17 years.
Mr. Roulier was an avid reader with a special interest in Winston Churchill. He loved listening to music and he was a very loyal Red Sox fan.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 73 years Marion Beauharnois Roulier, whom he married October 16, 1943. Marion passed away December 20, 2015. He leaves a son Joseph C. Roulier and his wife, Pamela, of Pittsfield; two daughters Winifred Roulier, S.S. J. of Holyoke, and Marilyn C. Kirby and her husband Bill of Richmond; three grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Silvana, Aaron and Maddie; two great grandchildren Noah and Oliver.
The family of Mr. Roulier expresses their sincere appreciation to the medical and support staff of Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for their professional and compassionate support.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Winston O. Roulier who died March 18, 2016 will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 am, celebrated by Msg. Michael Shershanovich, Pastor. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 8:00 am, at DERY FUNERAL HOME, in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Diocese of Springfield in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield.
