Obituary for William W. Wilkie

WILLIAM WADSWORTH WILKIE, 56, of 90 West Union Street, Pittsfield,died Wednesday morning at his home. Born in Fall River, May 22, 1950, a son of Adelbert E. and Catherine H.
Cummings Wilkie, he was educated in Fall River schools and had resided in The Berkshires for the past 20 years. Mr. Wilkie had been employed at one time at Berkshire Hathaway Manufacturing in New Bedford for four years until 1974 when he retired due to an industrial accident injury. He was the former owner of the Bach Music Store in Fall River and also did legal advocacy work while in Pittsfield. He was a former communicant of St. George Catholic Church in Westport,
Massachusetts. He had been organist, music composer, and tenor at the St. Mary Cathedral Church in Fall River, as well as played organ at churches of other Denominations in Fall River.
He enjoyed music and could play many instruments, and also enjoyed horses
and computers. Mr. Wilkie is survived by two brothers, Raymond R. Wilkie of Phoenix, Arizona
and George D. Wilkie of New Bedford; three sisters, Muriel Rogers-Navarrete of
Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Donna Paradise of Fall River, and Sharyn Grace of Fall
River, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and his long-time companion, Stephen Dus of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Private funeral services for WILLIAM W. WILKIE, 56, who died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, will be held at a later date in Fall River. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Wilkie may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
