Obituary for William B. Phillips Jr.

William Bruce Phillips, Jr., 53, of 26 Linden Street, Pittsfield, died Wednesday,
October 17, 2012, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, on February 20, 1959, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mr. Phillips served with the United States Marine Corps and Reserves for eleven years and was honorably discharged in 1987. He served as a member of the Color Guard for Pittsfield's Here-At-Home Committee.
He had worked for several mechanical contractors. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Buffalo Bills fan.
Mr. Phillips leaves his beloved wife Amanda Phillips, whom he loved with all his heart.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his father, William B. Phillips, Sr., and his wife, Fran, of Florida, and his mother, Patricia Millette of Pittsfield; three daughters, Brandy Mercier and her husband, Cory, Kayla Phillips and her companion, James Scace,
and Billie Jeanne Phillips and her companion, Luke Martini; three brothers, Mark
Myslinski and his wife, Donna, Wayne Phillips and his wife, Julie, and Brian Phillips; two sisters, Alice Pelkey and her husband, Dave, and Betty Phillips; and five grandchildren whom he dearly loved, and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for William Bruce Phillips, Jr., will be held WEDNESDAY,
October 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM, at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, with military honors. Calling hours will precede the funeral beginning at 12:00 Noon.
