Obituary for William H. Londergan

Mr. William Henry Londergan, 79, of 104 Allengate Avenue, Pittsfield, Ma. died Saturday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on October 25, 1928 in Pittsfield a son of the late James and Mary Johnson Londergan. He attended schools in Pittsfield and attended Saint Joseph's Central High School. Mr. Londergan was last employed as a material handler at E.D. Jones Beloit Division from 1952 until retiring in 1976 due to ill health. He was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church, he enjoyed frequenting the casino's, bowling and traveling. He leaves his wife the former Maureen A. Brophy whom he married on September 29, 1951 at Saint Agnes Church in Dalton. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Michael P. Londergan of Pittsfield and Paul E. Londergan of Dalton. Two daughters, Mary L. Ross and Ann L. Hottel both of Wilton, New Hampshire. Six Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. A Sister, Frances Gilbert of Pittsfield, Ma.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for William H. Londergan who died December 1st, 2007 will be held Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Inurnment will be private at a later date at Saint Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery Funeral Home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in his memory be made to Saint Joseph's Church Benevolent Fund in care of the funeral home. Mr. Londergan is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by four brothers, George Pleau, Robert, James and Eugene Londergan and by three sisters, Helen Rollins, Mary Ellsworth and Catherine Latakas.
