Obituary for William F. "Willy" Britton

William "Willy" Francis Britton, 75, of 41 Richmond Avenue, Pittsfield, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Pittsfield on February 24, 1937, a son of Edward and Wanda Malkowski
Britton, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
He had served with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Britton had been a self-employed painting contractor for more than twenty years. He retired in 2000.
He enjoyed horse racing and going to OTB. He also enjoyed gardening, trivia, and watching sports.
Mr. Britton is survived by a brother, Michael J. Britton and his wife, Lucy Ann,
of New Marlborough; three sisters, Sheila Bouquet of Pittsfield, Barbara Britton of Pitts-
field, and Patricia Boulais of Dalton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Helen Barscz, who died in 1987.

FUNERAL NOTICE :Funeral services for William "Willy" Francis Britton will held Saturday, December 22, at 11AM, at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor of St. Joseph Church officiating. Calling hours will precede the
service beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Britton
may be made to Soldier On in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
