Obituary for William N. Boos

Mr. William Nicholas "Bill" Boos, 69, of 27 Truran Lane Whitewood, Richmond, Ma. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. Born on January 27, 1938 in Pittsfield, Ma. a son of the late William R. and Grace L. Ames Boos. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1955 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mr. Boos had been employed as a Oil Burner Service Technician for 41 years retiring in 1996, he had worked for Pariseau Heating Company, Lipton Oil Company and Knapp Oil Company. He had served as president of the Whitewood Association from 2002 until 2005, he was a active volunteer for the Pittsfield 4th of July Parade Committee for 20 years, a member of Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church, he enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making and Football. He is survived by his wife the former Bertha R. "Bert" Rawling whom he married on March 15, 1974 in Stephentown, New York. Besides his wife he leaves Two sons, Stephen D. Boos and Lawrence W. Boos both of Pittsfield, Ma. A Stepson, Ray W. Pulver, Jr. of San Jose, California. A daughter, Debra M. Davies of Pittsfield, Ma. A Stepdaughter, Carol A. Wilson of Pittsfield, Ma. A Sister, Beverly A. Chartier of Lady Lake, Florida and Lenox, Ma. Nine Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for William N. "Bill" Boos, who died February 23, 2007, will be held THURSDAY at 11:00 A.M. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. with the Rev. Hannah Anderson, Rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery Funeral Home will be WEDNESDAY from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in his memory be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home. Bill is lovingly survived by his nine grandchildren, Hunter, Brody, David, Christopher, Gabriella, Larry Jr., Brent, Brandon and Billy and by two great grandchildren. Also survived by son in law, Patrick E. Wilson and daughters in law, Kathy and Debbie Boos, also by brother in law, Dr. Charles Chartier. Bill will deeply missed by all who loved him. He will be missed by his two pet cats Minnie and Muffy whom he loved dearly.
