Obituary for William Mallery Mesick Sr.

William Mallery Mesick, Sr., 92, formerly of Colonial Gardens, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on March 21, 1925, the son of John L. and Anne
Lambert Mesick, he was a graduate of Hudson (New York) High School, and served with the
United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Mesick was the Office Manager for the Germantown Central School for more than
30 years.
Mr. Mesick was a baseball fan, particularly of Wahconah Park teams, and was a photographer.
His wife, the former Ruth Cooper, whom he married May 1, 1948, died August 3, 2005.
Mr. Mesick is survived by a son, William M. Mesick, Jr., of Purling, New York; a sister,
Anne Adele Mahowald of St. Cloud, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Robert William, Amy Michelle, Michael Anthony, Jane Adele, and Lynn Grossman; and seven great grandchildren,
Tyler, Megan, Ryan, Maddox Mahowald, Henry William Reinhardt, William Mesick and Kaitlynn
Mesick.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Michelle M. Grossman, who died August 5, 2015.


FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for William M. Mesick, Sr., will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Berkshire Humane Society in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
