Obituary for Wilfred R. Moffett
Wilfred Robert Moffett, 86, of Pittsfield, passed away May 28, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Pittsfield on May 2, 1935 to Cyril and Agnes LaBonte Moffett.
He attended Notre Dame Elementary and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mr. Moffett was a United States Army Veteran and worked for many years as a self-employed contractor. He was the owner and operator of Wilfred R. Moffett Construction Company.
Wilfred enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Moffett is survived by three brothers, Raymond J. Moffett of Cheshire, William J. Moffett of Macon, NC, and Albert L. Moffett of Macon, NC; four sisters, Mary Saldo of Raleigh, NC, Rosemary Hopkins, Linda Creamer and Shirley Moffett, all of Macon, NC. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Moffett was predeceased by three sisters, Elaine Haggerty, Claire Placer and Janet Halley.
Funeral Notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
