Obituary for Webster David DuPont
Webster David DuPont, 69 of Pittsfield, passed away May 2, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on September 1, 1953, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Emma Miller DuPont.
He was educated in Pittsfield Schools and was a graduate of Taconic High School. Mr. DuPont married the former Sharon Lester/Werth on April 15, 1994.
He was employed as an insurance appraiser with County Appraisal for several years. He also worked in several auto body shops throughout Berkshire County.
Mr. DuPont enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, bowling, hunting and racing.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Sharon DuPont of Pittsfield. Sons, David E. DuPont of Pittsfield, Scott Werth of Pittsfield, Larry Werth (wife Andrea) of Cheshire, Daughters Teresa Stimpson and husband James of Stamford, VT., and Sylena Stimpson Shaw of Pittsfield. Grandson, Andrew DuPont and significant other Ashlyn Shaw of Pittsfield. Fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Brother Sheldon DuPont of Pittsfield and sisters Aileen DeNovellis of Pittsfield. He also leaves his beloved cats, Stinky and Molly. He was predeceased by his daughter Amy DuPont.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor of St. Mark Church.
