Obituary for W. Chester Trzepacz

W. Chester Trzepacz, 71, of 35 Robert St. Pittsfield died Friday evening at home. Born on July 15, 1936 in Wola Medrzechowska, Poland he was a son of the late Andrzej and Aniela Kosla Trzepacz. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, he was educated in Poland where he graduated from high school and trade school for carpentry. He also served in the Polish Air Force. He had resided on Robert St. since 1970. Mr. Trzepacz had been a self-employed contractor in the Berkshires for forty years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Polish Falcons and Polish Community Club. He also served as a past vice-president of the Polish National Alliance. He enjoyed spending time with his family and took great joy in spending time with his grandsons. An outdoorsman, he also enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and building. He leaves his wife, the former Lillian Rudnicka of Pittsfield whom he married on January 15, 1966 at Holy Family Church in Pittsfield. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this past January. He also leaves his two daughters; Donna A. Sorrell and her husband Timothy of Lanesboro and Jean E. Morales and her husband Miguel of Leesburgh, Virginia. Two sisters; Stefania Swiech of Pittsfield and Zofia Bujak of Poland and two brothers; Stanislaw Trzepacz of Pittsfield and Jan Trzepacz of Poland. He also leaves his loving grandsons; Nicholas Richard Sorrell, Matthew Chester Sorrell, Avery Michael Morales and Brandon Joseph Morales. He was predeceased by a son; Andrew Trzepacz late of Pittsfield who died January 5, 1977. He was also predeceased by a sister, the late Maria Trzepacz.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for W. Chester Trzepacz, 71, of Pittsfield who died April 25, 2008 will be held Wednesday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours for Mr. Trzepacz will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA.
