Obituary for Viva D. Baumann

VIVA DEXTER WILLIAMSON BAUMANN, age 92, formerly of East Windsor Road, Peru, MA died Monday morning at Hillcrest Commons. She was born in New Bedford, MA on December 8, 1913, the daughter of the late Richard and Elsie Leary Williamson, Jr. She was educated in New Bedford schools.
Mrs. Baumann was employed by General Electric in Bridgeport, CT as a production worker, retiring in 1974 after 25+ years of service. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs as well as being a 50+ year Life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She moved from Bridgeport, CT to Peru, MA in 1974.
Mrs. Baumann married Lawrence C. Baumann on January 21, 1943; he died on August 19, 1963.
Mrs. Baumann is survived by her son: Lawrence R. Baumann of Windsor, MA; and her two grandchildren.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for VIVA DEXTER BAUMANN who died on September 4, 2006 will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and burial will take place in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT at the family's convenience. Mrs. Baumann is also survived by her daughter-in-law: Carolyn A. Baumann, and her two grandchildren: Gretchen A. Baumann of Haverhill, MA and Jon-Jason Baumann of Raleigh, NC. She was pre-deceased by her brother: Richard Williamson; her sister: Elsie Dimond; and her long-time companion: Rudy Kaatz of Pittsfield, who died on August 30, 2005.
