Obituary for Virginia Grace Murphy

Virginia Grace Murphy, 87, of 320 Onota Street, Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at the Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was born in Northampton, MA on July 16, 1928 to the late Albert and Hilda Packard, she was educated in Northampton Schools and was a 1948 graduate of Northampton High School. Virginia spent most of her career working in retail sales, and especially enjoyed her time working in toy stores.
Virginia enjoyed animals, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her daughter; Colleen M. Robitaille and her husband Gary of Pittsfield, her son; Stephen P. Murphy and his wife Debra and their daughter Jennifer of York, ME., two sisters; Barbara Packard and Norma Roulier both of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo T. Murphy who died May 5, 1994.

Funeral Notice – Funeral Services for Virginia G. Murphy who died February 17, 2016 will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations in Virginia's memory can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, who is handling arrangements.
