Obituary for Virginia R. Choiniere
Virginia Rose Choiniere, 72, of Pittsfield, died Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pittsfield, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosa Parise Maurer, she attended local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Virginia worked for 40 years as an administrative assistant at General Electric. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked reading, cooking, gardening, vacations in ME, trips to the ocean, rides in the car with husband Peter and was an avid fan of the Yankees and Patriots.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 46 years; Peter T. Choiniere, her daughters; Gina M. Medico and her husband John of Simsbury, CT, Lisa A. Bock and her husband Matthew of Pittsfield and Allison R. Choiniere of Pittsfield, her seven grandchildren; Mark, Christina, Danielle, Alexander, Sofia, Conner and Kaylee, and her grand dogs; Georgie and Bella.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
At Virginia's request memorial services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME which is handling arrangements.
