Obituary for Victor Albert Bertolozzi
Victor Albert Bertolozzi, 84 of Pittsfield, passed away August 21, 2023 at Hillcrest Commons.
He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on November 5, 1938, the son of Dante and Olga Cortapassi Bertolozzi.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Mr. Bertolozzi married the former Patricia Ann Sinclair on June 30, 1962. She predeceased him on July 1, 2008.
He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran.
Victor was a draftsman for over 30 years at General Electric. At one time he also bartended at the Italian American Club.
A member of the GE Quarter Century Club, he was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and a communicant of St. Mark’s Church. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling.
Mr. Bertolozzi is survived by his three sons, Victor Bertolozzi, Jr. and wife Joanna of New Orleans, LA, Richard Bertolozzi and wife Beth of Lynn, MA and David Bertolozzi and wife Jeanette of Pittsfield. His brother, John Bertolozzi and wife Renee of Pinehurst, NC, sister, AnneMarie Borsje of Duxbury, MA, brother, Peter Bertolozzi and wife Antonia of Poughkeepsie, NY, brother, Anthony Bertolozzi and wife Julie of Cary, NC, and brother-in-law, Dr. Anthony Schiano of Manahawkin, NJ. Six grandchildren, Zachary Bertolozzi and wife Jenna of Dalton, Morgan Dorfman and husband Samuel of Leominster, MA, Nena Kingsley and husband Kevin of Dalton, Krista Bertolozzi of Waterford, NY, Gina Bertolozzi of Roxbury, MA, and Isabelle Bertolozzi of Lynn, MA. As well as eight great-grandchildren, Dante, Lucas, Raelyn, Gianna, Angela, Eli, Matteo, and Isabella.
He was predeceased by his sister, Alice Schiano.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher Fedoryshyn, Pastor. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
