Obituary for Veronica "Eileen" Ferry

Veronica "Eileen" Ferry, 59, of 20 Westminster Street, Pittsfield, died Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on October 4, 1956, the daughter of the late Edwin L. and Veronica E. (Ray) Ferry, she was educated in local schools and was a 1974 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Eileen was employed by Follwell's Greenhouse for over 20 years as a floral designer. She loved her job and enjoyed creating beautiful flower arrangements for various events including weddings and parties. Upon Follwell's closing she was employed by Price Chopper in their floral department. In her earlier years she worked in early childhood development in the Pittsfield School Department.
Eileen enjoyed sports and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, playing cards, taking her boat out on the lake, going to Mohegan Sun and spending time with her family and friends especially her nieces and nephews. She was a devoted friend, sister and aunt and especially enjoyed gathering her family together each summer for an annual family reunion.
Eileen is survived by her siblings; Lauren F. Marcisz of Bradenton, FL., Helena M. Moody of Pittsfield, with whom she made her home and shared her home also with her niece; Shaunna Porter and her companion Walter and her children Jazmin, Araya, Trinity and Kendall, her nephew Daniel and his companion Amanda and their son Timothy, her brother; Michael Ferry and his daughter's Bonnie and Janet.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and three sisters; Annora Kingston, Barbara Morse and Bonnie Morse.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for Eileen Ferry will be held Saturday February 13th from 12 to 2 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Funeral Services and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's memory may be made to her niece Shaunna Porter in care of the Funeral Home.
