Obituary for Veronica R. Charbonneau

Veronica R. Charbonneau, 90, of Cheshire passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She was born Jan 14, 1923 in Adams, MA, the daughter of the late Frank and
Rosalie Turoczy of Adams, and was a graduate of the former Adams High School, class of 1941. Following high school she worked for much of her career as a legal secretary for the law office of Andrew J. Dilk in Adams until her retirement in 1985. She also worked as executive secretary for the Adams Redevelopment Authority during the urban renewal project of the 1960's. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire, and a member of the former Cheshire Kiwanis Club.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence Charbonneau, who passed away in April 2010, and by three brothers- Thaddeus, Walter, and Casimer Turoczy. Her survivors include a son, Ronald Charbonneau of Cheshire, a daughter Joan Charbonneau of Pownal, Vt., a grandson Michael Wuensch of Denver, CO., a granddaughter Jennifer Martinez of New York City, NY, two great-grandchildren Zoe and Lara Martinez, and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Veronica Charbonneau will be held Saturday, April 6th at 10:30 AM from the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church or the Cheshire Fire Dept. both in care of the funeral home, North State Rd./ Cheshire, MA 01225.
