Obituary for Valerie A. Jangro

Valerie A. Jangro, 74, of Spofford, NH passed Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Jessup, MD. At the time she was visiting her son Matthew.
Born August 6, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec she was the daughter of Omer and Adelen Nadeau Vadnais. She was raised in Villa La Salle, Quebec moving with her family to Ware, MA at age 17 and graduated from Ware High School. She later moved to Keene, NH and became a trained dental assistant.
In 1958 she married the late John L. Jangro and lived in Franklin, NH before moving to Dalton, MA in 1976. In 1995, she moved to her family home on Spofford Lake in NH, carrying on the many traditions of entertaining family and friends. She was a member of the Grace Community Evangelical Free Church, volunteered with the elderly, an active member of the lake association and an avid reader. Her kind ways will be greatly missed by the many that knew her.
She leaves her daughters Jacqueline and her husband Jeffrey Price of Pittsfield and Shelly and her husband Shaun Grogan of Peru. Her sons John Jangro of Manchester, NH and Matthew and his wife Melanie Jangro of Jessup, MD. She also leaves seven grandchildren Brandon & Tanner Price, Shanna, Shaine & Shayla Grogan and Bryan & Connor Jangro all of whom hold a special place for Memere.
She also leaves her sister Lorraine and her brother in-law Jack O'Keeffe of Swanzey, NH and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be held at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA on Tuesday, December 29 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and a Memorial Service with family and close friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30 at 11:00 am with burial at Ashuelot Cemetary following the service.
