Obituary for Theresa J. Navroski

Mrs. Theresa Julie Navroski, 80, of 12 Hall Place, Pittsfield, Ma. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on May 26, 1926 in Nazareth, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late George and Helen Unger.
She attended schools in Nazareth, PA. She had resided in Pittsfield since 1963. Mrs. Navroski was first employed as a teachers aide with the head start program with the City of Pittsfield Public School Department for 4 years, she later became the housekeeper for Saint Joseph's Church Rectory for 20 years retiring in the early 1990's. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. She is survived by her husband, Jacob L. Navroski whom she married on July 22, 1950 at Holy family Church in Nazareth, PA. Besides her husband she leaves four daughters, Diane Navroski of Smithfield, North Carolina, Kathleen Craig of Clermont, Florida, Joan Williams and Debra Navroski both of Pittsfield, Ma, Three sons, Ronald Navroski of Richmond, Virginia, John Navroski of Pittsfield, Ma. and Arnold Navroski of Hopewell, Virginia. A Brother, Steven Unger of Nazareth, PA. Three sisters, Rose Kocher of Easton, PA, Agnes Deutsch and Martha Trinkle both of Nazareth, PA. 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Theresa J. Navroski who died October 7, 2006 will be held Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at Saint Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in her memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
