Obituary for Theresa Delusky (Tini)

Theresa Tini Delusky, 89 of Dalton, passed away peacefully August 23, 2023 at Sugar Hill Assisted Living where she resided since June 2018. Theresa was a longtime resident of Pittsfield.

Born in New York City on January 28, 1934 to Salvatore and Clara Pallonari Tini, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School Class of 1952.

She married Edward M. Delusky on October 16, 1964. He predeceased her in 2010.

Theresa’s first job, after graduating high school, was with The First Agricultural National Bank, which she was very proud of. She was later employed as a paraprofessional and teacher’s aide in the Pittsfield Public Schools system for many years.

She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Sacred Heart Church. She loved to shop and was known for her contagious laugh. Theresa enjoyed volunteering at Tanglewood, cooking, playing bridge and golf.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Delusky of Vernon, CT, Elana Delusky Maruk and husband Jack of Lanesboro, and Valerie Delusky of South Burlington, VT. Her grandson Michael Delusky of Pittsfield. A Sister, Madeline Hawboldt and husband Robert of Lenox.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Christine Tini in 2006, and by her daughter, Claudia Delusky, in September 2021, which broke her heart.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 3 to 5 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to Sugar Hill Employee Recognition Fund, for their loving care and dedication to Theresa Delusky in her final years, and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01021
