Obituary for Theresa Mary Charbonneau

Theresa Mary Charbonneau, 87, formerly of Berkshire Town Apartments, Pittsfield, Ma. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 8, 1927 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Philip and Alida Lussier Archambault. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1946 graduate of Saint Joseph's High School. Mrs. Charbonneau had worked as a waitress for 47 years at Friendly's Restaurant on West Housatonic St. in Pittsfield she retired in 2001. Theresa was a longtime communicant of the former Notre Dame Church where she was a cantor, sang in the choir, taught religious education and was involved in family liturgies. In 1985 she was awarded the Pius X award. She is a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren; she also enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and traveling.
She was the wife of Ernest F. Charbonneau whom she married September 21, 1947 at Notre Dame Church; he died May 1, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn M. Eittreim of Jacksonville, Florida. A son, David E. Charbonneau and his wife Debbie of Pittsfield, Ma.
Daughter in law, Angie Charbonneau and former daughter in law, Anne Marie Charbonneau. Eight grandchildren, Danielle Irving and husband Christopher, Derek Charbonneau, Carly Filiault and husband Matthew, Andre' Charbonneau and wife Jennifer, Nicholas Charbonneau, Sara Charbonneau, Katie Charbonneau and Andrew Charbonneau. 7 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren and 9 Step great grandchildren. Many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Jeffrey M. Charbonneau, and by four brothers and two sisters, Rene, Lionel, Arthur and Albert Archambault, Bernadette Archambault and Alice Melle.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Theresa M. Charbonneau will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will be in the spring at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to the Pittsfield Catholic School of the donor's choice in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201.
