Obituary for Theresa Rose Carnute

Theresa Rose Salvatore Carnute, 82, of 26 Greendale Avenue, Pittsfield died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 1st, 2013 surrounded by her loving and caring family. Theresa was born on April 21, 1930 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Samuel and Teresina Spagnuolo Salvatore. She attended schools in Pittsfield. Theresa had worked as a waitress for many years at the V.F.W., Berkshire Hills Country Club and many years ago at the White Tree Inn. She was the epitome of unconditional love to her children and gave of herself endlessly to everyone in need of a helping hand. Theresa would not think twice about giving you something if she felt you needed it more than she or her family did. She will be sadly missed by everyone as she has touched so many lives. She was a communicant of Saint Mark Church and loved animals and would take in strays and enjoyed feeding the squirrels. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her large family. But mostly the love of her life was her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandson. She is survived by her husband, Frank "Junior" Carnute whom she married December 31, 1949, they celebrated 63 years of marriage this past Christmas eve, their love began more than 77 years ago as they walked hand and hand to school every day. Four sons, Frank J. Carnute, Jr. and his wife Dolores. Rocco E. Carnute, Richard M. Carnute and Gary P. Carnute all of Pittsfield. Three daughters, Yvonne Fiske and her husband Calvin of Chatham, N.Y. Kathy A. Satrape and Theresa Carnute and her longtime companion, Paul Ketcham all of Pittsfield. Two Brothers, Dominic Salvatore of Pittsfield and William Salvatore of Cheshire. A sister, Margaret Knysh of Pittsfield. 9 Grandchildren, Gina (Todd) Aquilo, Ronnie (Missy) Lucaroni, Nicole Satrape, Renee(Junior) Lucaroni, Lori Carnute, Anthony Carnute, Timothy Carnute, Jamie Carnute and Frankie Baldasarre. 16 Great Grandchildren, Mia, Ryan, Heather, Dominique, Toni, Emiliano, Dante, Giovanni, Ky, K'Aunte, Jamari, Meadow, Carmine, Coby, Nikolas and Nikolo. One great great grandson, Logan Lucaroni.Theresa was predeceased by a grandson, Nikolas S. Carnute and by 6 brothers, Ernest, Constantine, Peter, Alfred, Samuel and Anthony Salvatore and by a sister, Rose Breen.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mark Church in Pittsfield, celebrated by her cousin, Rev. William Murphy. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice care in the Berkshires or to the Berkshire Humane Society, both in care of Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201
