Obituary for Theresa A. Burke

Theresa A. Burke, 23, of 131 Hale St. Ext. Dalton died Monday, November 11, 2013.
Born in Pittsfield on November 28, 1989, the daughter of Catherine Burke of Dalton, she attended Dalton Schools and attended B.A.R.T. in Adams and had an associate's degree from Devry .
Theresa was a manager of Lipton Mart on North St. and had worked at Sears at one time and the Xtra Mart on Merrill Road.
She enjoyed sports and was one of the founding members of the Berkshire Banditz, a roller derby team; her team name was "Phoenix Inferno".
She was involved with Shakespeare and Co. and theater at B.A.R.T. She enjoyed hard rock music, metal music, and supported local musicians and music benefits. She was a founding member in the youth by youth theater troupe called The Muses' Prodigy.
Besides her mother, Theresa is survived by her daughter, Madison Frances Burke, of Dalton; her grandmother, Agnes Burke, of Dalton; two aunts, Anne Ferin and her husband John of Hinsdale, and Laurie Blair and her husband Matthew of Adams; and many cousins and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her grandfather Thomas Burke.

Funeral Notice : Services for Theresa A. Burke will be held on Monday, November 18, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m, at
DERY –FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Phoenix Inferno Memorial Fund (at Berkshire Bank) in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
