Obituary for Theodore Z. Kubica

THEODORE ZIGMOND KUBICA, 87, a resident of Springside of Pittsfield for
the past seven years, formerly of 66 Bel Air Avenue, Pittsfield, died Thursday evening at
Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield, December 3, 1919, the son of Michael and Carolina Marusarz
Kubica, he was a 1937 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A World War II veteran, he served as a corporal in the United States Army.
Mr. Kubica was employed by General Electric Company as a winder from 1946 to 1982.
He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He was a member of the
General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs and the GEAA Golf
Association. He enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Kubica leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth M. Gluza, whom he married
October 23, 1943, in Holy Family Church.
Besides his wife, Mr. Kubica is survived by a son, Michael Kubica of Pahoa
Hawaii; two daughters, Teresa Lamon of Jenson Beach, Florida, and Stephanie
Adornetto of Pittsfield; a brother, Walter Kubica of Pittsfield; two sisters, Madeline
Doullard of Madison, Alabama, and Jabdviga Murah of Ashland, New Hampshire, six
grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Thaddeus
Kubica, who died in1973 at the age of 21.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for THEODORE ZIGMOND KUBICA, who died Thursday,
October 18, will be Monday, October 22, at 9:00 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME,
with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor of Holy Family Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Kubica may be made to Berkshire Medical Center
Oncology Department in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mr. Kubica leaves his daughter-in-law, Irene Kubica, a son-in-law, Roy
Lamon; six grandchildren, Louis Bologna, Michael Bologna, Christine Parker, Nicholas
Adornetto, Cara Adornetto, and Timothy Kubica, his six great grandchildren, Courtney
Bologna, Kylie Bologna, Marissa Bologna, Madeline Bologna, Abigail Parker, and
Alex Derby. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph Kubica and George Kubica,
and a sister, Amy Knopf.
