Obituary for Thelma Mae King

THELMA MAE KING, 86, of 522 S.W. South River Drive, Stuart Florida, formerly of Cheshire, died Saturday, November 1, at her home where she had resided for the past seven years. She had resided in Florida since 1998.
Born in Hoosick Falls, New York, March 16, 1923, the daughter of Wilbur and Mildred Davis Gates, she came to Cheshire at the age of 6 and attended schools in Cheshire and Adams.
Mrs. King was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, knitting and crocheting, and camping. She had been a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Her husband, Ernest C. King, whom she married September 19, 1942, died
September 22, 1989. Mrs. King is survived by two daughters, Elaine M. Horbal and her husband,
Paul, of Stuart, Florida, and Brenda A. Boutin and her husband, Jef of
Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Lisa Whitmarsh, James Horbal, Justin
Boutin, and Brendan Boutin; and two great grandchildren, Taylor Whitmarsh and Danielle Whitmarsh.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for THELMA MAE KING, who died Saturday, November 1, will be Friday, November 7, at 9:15 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, celebrated by Rev. David R. Raymond, Pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4:00 to7:00 p.m., at the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.King may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, in care of the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire, or to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E.
