Obituary for Susan E. O'Brien Suriner

SUSAN E. O'BRIEN SURINER, 52, of 35 Division Street, Pittsfield, died
Wednesday afternoon at her home. A long-time resident of Pittsfield, she had also
lived in Port Orange, Florida, for seven years.
Born in Westfield, October 27, 1955, a daughter of Donald E. O'Brien, Sr., of
Cheshire and Beatrice Termini Lanfair of Bennington, Vermont, she was educated
in Pittsfield schools and was a 1973 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

She enjoyed bingo and casinos. She leaves her husband, Wayne A. Suriner, whom she married January 15, 1977. Besides her husband and her father and mother, Mrs. Suriner is survived by a son, Todd J. Suriner of Kuna, Idaho, and a daughter, Rebecca S. Suriner of Pittsfield; her stepfather, Dr. Clyde Lanfair, D.V.M., of Bennington, Vermont; her stepmother, Margaret O'Brien of Cheshire two brothers, Donald E. O'Brien, Jr., of Hinsdale and Steven M. O'Brien of Lanesborough; two sisters, Nance [not Nancy] Brazee of Raynham, Massachusetts, and Pamela O'Brien of Lynn; a stepsister, Rachel [not Rachael] Marchisio of Pittsfield; a half-sister, Marcia Feeley of Dalton; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne R. Suriner who died August 1, 1987 and by a sister, Kathleen B.
O'Brien who died October 20, 1997.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for SUSAN E. SURINER, who died at her home on Wednesday, December 19, surrounded by her loving family, will be today, December 21st, at 11:00 AM., at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Noreen P. Suriner, her sister-in-law, who is Interim Rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Northampton, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. A reception will then follow at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 67 East Street. Pittsfield. Calling hours will be held today from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at Dery Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Suriner may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Mrs. Suriner leaves her three granddaughters, MacKenzie of Pittsfield, and Jillian and Grace of Kuna, Idaho.
