Obituary for Susan M. Sciola

Susan Marie Sciola, 52, of 120 Kearney Avenue, Pittsfield, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at
Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on November 25, 1961, a daughter of Lorraine Cloutier Sciola and the late
James L. "Doc" Sciola, she was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School.
Ms. Sciola was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Child Support Specialist
with the Department of Revenue. She retired in October 2012 with thirty years service.
Ms. Sciola cherished her family, especially her son and grandsons.
She enjoyed time spent at the beach and traveling to Florida.
Besides her mother, she leaves her son, Eric M. Sciola, and his longtime companion, Amber, of
Dalton; three sisters, Pamela Lundergan, Kathy Gromacki, and Jacqueline Lyon, all of Pittsfield; two
brothers, James L. Sciola, Jr., and Patrick D. Sciola, both of Pittsfield; and her two grandsons, Vincent and
Douglas.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Susan Marie Sciola will be held Monday, January 26, at 9:15 a.m. from DERY
FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church
celebrated by Rev. Michael Lillpopp, Parochial Vicar. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling
hours will be held Sunday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to Berkshire Community Action Council (Coats for Kids) or to the
Marine Corps League (Toys for Tots) both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
