Susan Marie Lingoski Potts, 61, of 271 Allengate Avenue, Pittsfield, MA died Saturday morning October 10, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on August 17, 1954 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late Peter and Carolyn Castronova Lingoski. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1971 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Susan was last employed for the City of Pittsfield Public School Department working with special needs children at Crosby Elementary School for 10 years; she also had worked for 12 years at the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles in Pittsfield as a clerk.
She enjoyed playing KENO, going to the casinos, horse racing at Saratoga and was an avid New York Yankees Fan. The love of her life was her family and especially her three grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Potts whom she married on September 23, 1972 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Pittsfield. Two daughters, Karen M. Abruzi and her husband Brian of Tewksbury, MA and Jennifer M. Potts of Pittsfield. Her sister, Barbara H. Benham of Pittsfield and her beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb and Cole. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Susan will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA. 01201, with the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to Nashoba Learning Group, Bedford, MA in care of the funeral home.
