Obituary for Stephen P. Chandler

STEPHEN PHILIP CHANDLER, 61, of 120 Onota Street, Pittsfield, a Dalton
native, died Monday, December 7, at his home.
Born in Becket, November 29, 1948, a son of Mr. Pearl and Mrs. Viola Harding
Chandler, he was educated in Dalton schools and was a 1966 graduate of Wahconah
Regional High School.
Mr. Chandler was employed by Crane & Co., Inc. as a beater engineer. He retired
in 1992 with 25 years service.
He had been a former member of Morningside Baptist Church.
He was a car buff. He also enjoyed good food.
Mr. Chandler is survived by a son, Stephen Chandler of Becket; a brother, Harry
Chandler of Stockbridge; a sister, Cathleen A. Belanger of Lee; and many nieces and
nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold Chandler and two sisters, Elizabeth V.
King and Bernice P. Daigle.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for STEPHEN PHILIP CHANDLER, who died Monday,
December 7, will be Thursday, December 10, at 1:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME
in Pittsfield with Rev. William D. Furey officiating. Calling hours will precede the
service beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in North Becket Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Chandler may be made to the
American Diabetes Association in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street,
Pittsfield.
