Obituary for Stephen Charles Abriel
Stephen C. Abriel of Lanesboro, beloved son and friend to all who came to know him, left this earthly plane to be with God on March 1, 2024.
Stephen attended Mt. Greylock Regional High School, where he graduated in 2003.
Stephen’s love of animals could be seen in his devotion to the many animals who shared his life. As an automobile tech and tinkerer for most of his life, he enjoyed using his knowledge to help others with their vehicles and in his passion for rebuilding off road Jeeps and trucks.
He leaves behind his mother, Cheryl Newton Abriel; his Godmother, Tracy Newton Brooks; his father, Charles Abriel and step-mother, Nancy Abriel. He also leaves his three brothers, Chipper Abriel and wife Gina, Kevin Abriel and Nathan Abriel and wife Sara. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. officiated by Rev. Peter Naranjo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to the Lanesboro Ambulance Service or to The Berkshire Humane Society, to honor Stephen’s love of animals.
