Obituary for Stephen W. Shaw
Stephen W. Shaw, 74, of 600 Main Street passed away at home on August 18, 2017.
Born in Chateauguay, NY on August 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Leonard and Viola Beardsley Shaw. He was educated in New York schools. Steve was employed in maintenance for many years at Walmart, the former Rice Silk Mill and Kelly Lumber. He retired in 2000. He enjoyed wrestling, hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees. He leaves his wife; Rose Wood Shaw of Dalton whom he married on August 8, 1981. Three daughters; Erin Shaw-Kodjo of Pittsfield, Michelle Lord of the State of Florida and Gail Messer of Pittsfield. A step-son; Daniel Weber of Pittsfield and five sisters; Ava, Barbara, Genevieve, Beverly and Sheila. He also leaves a brother; Robert Shaw. Nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services and burial for Stephen W. Shaw will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Dalton United Methodist Church in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226 which is handling arrangements.
