Obituary for Stella W. Russo

Mrs. Stella W. Russo, 81, of 49 Pecks Road, Pittsfield, Ma. died Friday evening at her home after a long illness.
Born on August 16, 1925 in Pittsfield, Ma. a daughter of the late Konstanty "Gus" and Pauline Koziol Gromacki. She attended schools in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Russo was first employed many years ago by the former Elmvale Worsted Mill in Pittsfield. She was last employed for the former McKenzie Plastics Company in Pittsfield for 10 plus years retiring in 1980 as a supervisor. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, she enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to Foxwoods, she also enjoyed bowling many years ago. She was the wife of Anthony G. Russo whom she married at Holy Family Church on October 8, 1945; he died January 14, 2003. She is survived by a daughter, Joanne M. Coe of Pittsfield, Ma. Two Brothers, William Gromacki of Pittsfield and Robert Gromacki of Dalton. Two Sisters, Jeanette Kushi and Laura Demick both of Pittsfield. Three Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Stella W. Gromacki Russo, who died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006 at her home surrounded by her loving family, will be held Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, Ma. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at Dery Funeral Home will be Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials in her memory be made to Hospice Care of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Russo is lovingly survived by her three grandchildren, Karen A. Sacco, Kathy L. Murphy and William A. Coe and by her six adored great grandchildren, Jordan, Anthony and Brandon Sacco, Tyler, Brett and Nathan Murphy. Also survived by her devoted son in law, William W. Coe and by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Richard Gromacki.
