Born in Wola Medrzechowska, Poland, on July 28, 1928, to Andrzej and Aniela Trzepacz, she was educated in Polish schools. She and her husband came to the United States in the 1970s and settled in Pittsfield. Her husband, Stanislaw Swiech, predeceased her in 1987.

Mrs. Swiech had been a communicant of the former Holy Family Church where she was a member of its Rosary Sodality; then, following its closure, was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. She volunteered at the Polish Picnic making pierogi and golombki. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her beloved niece and caregiver, Lucy Z. Trzepacz, and many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Chester, Jan and Stanislaw Trzepacz, and two sisters, Maria Trzepacz and Zofia Bujak.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hillcrest Commons for their compassionate care.
