Obituary for Stanislaw L. Kozlowski

Pittsfield: Stanislaw L. "Stan" Kozlowski, 46, of 61 Union Street, Pittsfield died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons of Pittsfield where he had resided since Tuesday.
Born on May 7, 1960 in Pittsfield, MA he was a son of Stella Ozga Kozlowski of Pittsfield and the late Stanislaw A. Kozlowski. He was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1978 graduate of Taconic High School. In 1982 he received his bachelor of science in finance from Fordham University in Manhattan. He had resided in Manhattan from 1978 to 1990 while working in banking in New York City. He returned to the Berkshires in 1990 where he worked for fourteen years at various auto dealerships in Berkshire County. He stopped working in 2004 due to ill health. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church where he served as a longtime altar server. He was also a member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed antique cars and going to car shows throughout Berkshire County. He also enjoyed collecting die cast cars. Besides his mother of Pittsfield he leaves two brothers, John E. Kozlowski of Pittsfield and Theodore "Ted" Kozlowski of Austin, Texas. Two sisters, Viktoria (ok) V. Lawrence of Murrieta, CA and Teresa J. Setian of Oak Hill, Virginia. He also leaves five nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Stan L. Kozlowski, 46, of Pittsfield who died August 19, 2006 will be held Thursday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the Dery Funeral Home. Stan also leaves his nieces and nephews, Christopher and Jeffrey Setian, Joseph and Eric Kozlowski and Allie Lawrence. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Stan may be made to the American Red Cross or to Holy Family Church both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
