Obituary for Sophie H. Pado

SOPHIE HELEN PADO, 88, of 80 Adams Road, Dalton, died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center Emergency Room of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the day in Dalton.
Born in Savoy, October 10, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jaroz Zwiercan, she was educated in Savoy schools. Mrs. Pado was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and raised blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
Her husband, Joseph Walter Pado, whom she married October 4, 1947, died,May 16, 1998.
Mrs. Pado is survived by two sons, Richard T. Pado of Seattle, Washington,
and Robert J. Pado of Northville, Michigan; two daughters, Irene Schulze of Palmyra,
Virginia, and Rose Marie Waff of Hampton ,Virginia, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for SOPHIE HELEN PADO, who died Monday, January 22,
will be Friday, January 26, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery in Hinsdale. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Pado may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the Funeral Home, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
