Obituary for Shirley J. Hall

Shirley Joyce Hall, 69, of 217 Robbins Avenue, Pittsfield died Sunday March 23, 2014 at Hillcrest Commons where she has resided since October 2013.
Born on June 24, 1944 in Warrensburg, New York a daughter of the late Melvin and Alta Hayes Barrett. She attended schools in Cheshire, Ma. She was last employed as a stock clerk at the former Hills Department Store, and prior to that she had worked for many years at Berkshire Cleaning Contractors. She was a avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the NASCAR races in Dover, Delaware. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Hall whom she married in December of 1962. Three daughters, Donna L. Hall, Tammy J. Hall and her fiancée Ron LaChance and Stacy A. Brown and her longtime partner Michael Donovan all of Pittsfield. Two brothers, Donald Barrett of North Carolina and Robert Barrett of Cheshire. Three sisters, Lucille Sullivan of North Adams, Geraldine Hedrick of North Carolina and Arlene Pero of Georgia. 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert J. Hall, Jr. in 1967 and by a niece, Brenda Walker.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME, will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Cheshire Cemetery. Memorials in her memory may be made to The Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
