Obituary for Sharon Ann Haswell

Sharon Ann Haswell, 61, of 23 4th Avenue, Cheshire, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous fight with a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on September 18, 1951, a daughter of William M. and
Florence Leach Huska, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and St. Agnes School and was a 1969 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School. She attended Berkshire Community College.
Mrs. Haswell was employed as a "Lunch Lady" in the Cafeteria at Hoosac Valley High School for fifteen years. From 1969 to 1989, she held various banking positions at several banks.
She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire where she was a Eucharistic Minister and taught in the CCD Program. She was also a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Pittsfield. She had served on PTO programs at several schools.
Mrs. Haswell enjoyed cooking and baking, especially baking Christmas cookies,
to share with family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crewel work, counted cross stitch, and ceramics.
Besides her parents, William and Florence Huska, of Dalton, she leaves her husband, Kurt K. Haswell, whom she married August 26, 1977; her daughter, Caitlin R. Haswell of Washington, D.C., a brother William M. Huska, II., a sister, Patricia Rice;
and several nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Sharon Ann Haswell will be held Thursday, April 18, with a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in St.
Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Shrine (Isle LaMotte, Vermont) in care of
DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
