Obituary for Satrina "Sally" Panetti

Satrina "Sally" Panetti, 93, of 92 Broadview Terrace, Pittsfield died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 20, 1919 in Pittsfield a daughter of the late John and Stella Olendrowicz Pisiewski. She attended schools in Pittsfield. Sally was employed for the General Electric Company for 22 years as a clerical worker in the blue print dept. and retired in 1980. She had also worked in the Ordnance Dept. at one time. She was the former co-owner and operator of the Morningside Plaza on Tyler Street from 1970 until 1997. She was a former longtime communicant of St. Mary's Church on Tyler St. and was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners Club. She was a member of the Ralph Froio Senior Center where she was very active with affairs at the senior center and the former senior center musical shows. Sally was a talented seamstress. She was the wife of Carmen Panetti whom she married December 31, 1949; he died March 25, 1986. She is survived by: two sons, Richard A. Panetti and his wife Norine of Pittsfield, and Robert T. Panetti and his wife Dianne of Canton, NY; two daughters, Sandra M. Henri and her husband Dennis of Canton, NY, and Debra P. Carlon and her husband David of Windsor, MA; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-granddaughters; a special niece, Beverly Hebler. She was predeceased by a brother, Theodore Pisiewski, and by two sisters, Josephine Scorpa and Helen Gian.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Satrina "Sally" Pisiewski Panetti will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Church, celebrated by Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to Elder Services or Hospice Care in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home.
