Obituary for Sandra A. "Sandy" Restel

Sandra A. "Sandy" Restel, 68, of Crane Avenue, Pittsfield died Friday, January 3, 2014 at he4r home. She was born in Pittsfield on November 14, 1945, the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl LaDouceur Lorenz. She was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Sandy was last employed for the General Electric Company here in Pittsfield as a chauffeur in the transportation department; she worked there for over five years during the 1970's. She was a communicant of St. Charles Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family: grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members; as well as vacationing, spending time at the casinos, and gambling.
Sandy is survived by her son: Michael H. Restel and his wife Lisa of Pittsfield; her two grandchildren: Amanda Restel of Pittsfield, and Megan Restel and her husband Gerald Tucker of Pittsfield; her two great-grandchildren: Derek and Olivia; her brother: Walter Lorenz of Easthampton, MA; and her "favorite cousin": Wayne Wager if Pittsfield. She is pre-deceased by her sister: Nancy Bordeleau and her long-time friend: Judy Cahalan.

Funeral Notice
Funeral services for Sandy Restel will be THURSDAY, JANUARY 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield with the Rev. Michael Lillpopp of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial will be in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours. At the family's request, memorial donations may be made in Sandy's memory to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
