Obituary for Ruth D. Polito

Ruth D. Polito, 90, of 611 Lanesborough Road, Cheshire, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Craneville Place of Dalton, where she had resided the past month. For the past year, she had lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Louis Costi.
Born in Dalton on March 26, 1922, a daughter of Edward and Ruth Francisco
Flynn, she was a graduate of Dalton schools.
Mrs. Polito had been employed by General Electric Company in its Payroll Office. She retired in 1980 with 35 years service.
She was a communicant of St. Charles Church.
Her husband, Ralph R. Polito, whom she married May 22, 1943, in St. Agnes
Church, died September 24, 1999.
Mrs. Polito is survived by her daughter, Joy C. Costi and her husband, Louis, of
Cheshire; two grandchildren, Christian Costi of Pittsfield, and Lisa Andrews and her
husband, Raymond, of Northbridge, Massachusetts; two great grandchildren, Shane Andrews and Elizabeth Andrews; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a sister, Ethel Smith, and a brother, John Edward Flynn.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Ruth D. Polito will be held Friday, January 4, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton. There are no calling
hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Polito may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford
Street, Pittsfield.
