Obituary for Russell A. Davis

Russell A. Davis, 64 of Pittsfield, passed away due to Covid-19 on March 26, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Providence, RI on April 13, 1956 to Allen J. Davis and Phyllis L. Lambert. Russ was a 1974 graduate of Central Falls High School.

He married the former Brenda Taylor and they would have celebrated 40 years together in June. Russell worked as a Construction Supervisor for 13 years at J. H. Maxymillian and was most recently a Site Superintendent for Northern Construction where they welcomed him like family.

Russell enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. You could call him at anytime for anything and he would always be there to lend a helping hand, or take charge! He was a dedicated season ticket holder for the New England Patriots and hasn’t missed a home game in 7 years. He enjoyed restoring and selling classic Mopars, saying that he would eventually have owned them all. Over the past several years he enjoyed vacationing in tropical locations, especially Cancun, with his wife, sister, brother in law and closest friends, making memories everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Davis of Pittsfield; three sons, Ryan Davis and wife Victoria of Pittsfield, Randy Davis and wife Kate of Dalton, and Robert Davis and wife Ashley of Pittsfield. His sister Darlene Doucette and husband Gene of North Providence, RI; mother in law Helen Perkins, brothers in law Wade Taylor, and Richard Taylor, all of Pittsfield. As well as his grandchildren, Caiden, Chase, Sophia, Evelyn, Kinsley, and will be missed by his nieces, nephews and many close friends. Also, his Border Collie, Molly.

Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be held, WEDNESDAY, March 31, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield. Funeral services will be private by invitation with burial held in Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
