Obituary for Rosina C. Barile

ROSINA "ROSE" CICCARELLI BARILE, 83, of 169 Valentine Road, died
Thursday, January 3, at Berkshire Medical Center, after a short illness.
Born in Bronx, New York, on November 5, 1924, the daughter of the late
Raffaele and Domenica Scarcia Ciccarelli, she came to Pittsfield at age 2 and was raised
by her uncle and aunt, Angelo and Veronica DiBiasi. Educated in local schools, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She retired from the former Sheaffer Eaton Paper Co. in 1987, where she worked
in the packaging department. After high school, she was employed by the former
General Electric Company for a short time.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She enjoyed traveling, singing and dancing, and playing bingo. She also enjoyed
listening to the songs of Frank Sinatra, whom she saw in concert as a young girl.

Her husband, Michael Dominic Barile, whom she married April 15, 1943, died

November 15, 1978.

Mrs. Barile is survived by a son, Ralph A. Barile of Stoneham; four daughters,

Michele J. Sweet, Beverly A. Dubiski, and Rozann Barile, all of Pittsfield, and Karen M.

Barile of Dalton; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Another son, Michael

David Barile, Sr., died March 16, 2003.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for ROSE 'MEMA' BARILE will be Monday, January 7, from 8:30

to 9:30 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, followed by a

Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,

celebrated by Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., Pastor. The omission of flowers is

requested. Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the

charity of the donor's choice.

Mrs. Barile was pre-deceased by three sisters and a brother.
