It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rosaland “Roz” Sarah Petricca, aged 87, of Pittsfield, MA, on March 9th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Rosaland, born in November of 1936 to Henri and Margaret (Rogers) Bishop, spent her early years in Pittsfield and attended Pittsfield High School.

In 1956, she married Basil “Rick” Petricca, and together they navigated through various family business ventures, spanning from heavy construction to corporate travel services.

Rosaland’s greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, earning her the affectionate title of “Nonnie” among them. She was a constant presence in their lives, offering guidance, support, and love in abundance. Nonnie's nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication ensured that every milestone and momentous occasion was celebrated with warmth and joy. Her legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren for generations to come.

Rosaland was a communicant of St. Mark’s Church, she leaves her five children, Perri Petricca (Michelle Thorpe-Petricca), Rick Petricca (Priscilla), Gregg Petricca (Lisa Dachinger), Cara Carnevale (Marc), Tina Petricca (Paul Pedini). Her 15 grandchildren, Adam Petricca, Graydon Holubar, Leah Petricca, Charlotte Holubar, Lauren Sumner (Ethan), Richard Petricca, Jr. (Shelby), Nicole Moskowitz (Jordan), Jennifer Petricca (James), Curt Petricca (Ericka), Nathan Petricca, Cole Moriarty, Ryder Moriarty, Nicholas Carnevale, and Tyler Carnevale. Her great grandchildren, Makayla, Alanna, Milania, Victoria, Harrison, Roman, Devyn, Anderson, Iyla, Jackson, Lilyana, Hudson, Shaun, and Elle-Marie.

Rosaland was predeceased by her husband, Basil Petricca, and two of her grandchildren, Talia Moriarty and Alora Carnevale.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to the Elizabeth Freeman Center in The Berkshires, 43 Francis Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201
