Obituary for Ronald M. Sayres Sr.

Ronald Morey Sayres, Sr., 73, of Berkshire Town Apartments, Pittsfield, died Saturday, March 15,
2014, at Springside of Pittsfield, where he had been a patient since December.
Born in Pittsfield on April 7, 1940, the son of Ralph and Carmen LaBelle Sayres, he was educated in Dalton schools and was a 1959 graduate of Dalton High School.
A machinist by trade, Mr. Sayres was first employed by Crane & Company. He later moved to Arkansas where he worked for Arkansas Industrial Machinery in Little Rock. He returned to The Berkshires where he was the proprietor of Uniforms R Us on Tyler Street for five years.
Mr. Sayres had been a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
He enjoyed working, was a baseball and football fan, and going to flea markets.
Mr. Sayres leaves his wife, the former Della A. Cooper, whom he married December 27, 1962.
He is also survived by three sons, Conan D. Levernoch and his wife, Doreen, of Hinsdale, Leonard A. Levernoch and his wife, Tina, of Gainesville, Texas, and Ronald M. Sayres, Jr., of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Donna L. Thomas, of Lenox Dale; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; as well
as a brother, Ralph Sayres and his wife, Joan, of Dalton, and many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
A memorial service for Ronald M. Sayres, Sr., will be held Saturday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m., at
DERY FUNERAL HOME in PITTSFIELD with Pastor Sigmund Sadzinski officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
